About

I started this blog as an extension of my personal journal. I think a lot about social justice causes, issues relating to poly relationships, being queer, and feminism or anti-sexism, and how Buddhist thinking and practice tie into these things, how we could compassionately and benevolently move the world forward. I figured my thoughts might help someone else, so I decided to share them online. But still, everything here is in essence my personal reflections as though in a journal - I'm far from an expert on any of this, just trying to find my way.

The blog is named after a song by the Russian melodic death/doom band Wine From Tears. I was listening to their album Glad to be Dead when I really started thinking about the blog, and a glance at the tracklist showed several promising names for my nascent blog, in fact. I picked Silence No More because I'm a rather quiet person in real life and have spent a lot of my life feeling invisible and unheard. No more! Now I'm bringing the battle for justice and equality to the web - gently and compassionately, of course ;)
